Traveling to new places can be a wonderful way to broaden one’s horizons. Experiencing new cultures, meeting new people, and making memories are all great aspects of vacationing. While all the new surroundings can be exciting, a tourist should always take precautions. Here are a few tips to ensure safety:

On Sunday January 16, after the AFC Championship game, It was reported that 11 of 12 balls were deflated during the Patriots vs. Colts game. The New England Patriots starting quarterback, Tom Brady, was asked whether he told the ball boy to deflate the footballs after the officials pregame inspection. "No, I didn't. And I haven't. And I never will." said Brady. "I pick 24 balls, that's what I pick. Whatever happened after I did it, and whatever the situation was where they measured them, I have no idea about any of those facts.”The Patriots went on to the Superbowl and on Feb. 1st beat the Seahawks 28-24. With this victory,Tom Brady will be joining NFL Hall of Fame inductees Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw by winning four Super Bowl rings. |

This years prom theme is Arabian Nights. Prom will be held from 8pm to 12am at the Millenium Hotel in Durham on April 18th. Juniors and Seniors are both invited to attend. If you wish to bring a guest who is not a Junior or a Senior or a student at Cedar Ridge you must have a pre approved bid. THEATRE COMPANY to HOST FIRST EVER DINNER THEATREBy Isabelle Allen (Editor-in-chief)
The Cedar Ridge Theatre Company will be presenting the one act play Sleeping Beauty on March 3-4th in the cafeteria and 6-7th in the auditorium. All shows start at 7:00pm. This will be the company’s debut event of dinner theater. Stagehands will provide guests with a dinner made by Cedar Ridge’s club, FCCLA. Tickets will be on sale soon for 15 dollars each. Players of the company will be presenting a twist on the original fairytale. In this rendition, written by Stacey Lane, a storyteller reading Sleeping Beauty is quickly seized by the story's villain, Griselda, more commonly known as Maleficent. With a magical spell, she turns back the hands of time to show what really happened to "Sleeping Betty." However, the story quickly unfolds with the help of unlikely heroes who intervene in Griselda’s version of Sleeping Beauty, this tale of the young maiden is eventually restored to its original version. |
